Flomatic Valves Year In Review

A Look Back At 2022

The year 2022 was a been a busy and productive one for Flomatic Valves. As we deep dive into 2023, we can’t help but look back at some of our top highlights and product developments throughout this past year.

We started the year off right in 2022 by introducing our latest valve: the American Iron and Steel (AIS)compliant Flo-Flex® Model 345. The AIS complaint Flo-Flex® Model 345 is designed to meet the needs of demanding industrial and municipal pumping applications and centrifugal pump applications including ponds and lakes, dewatering applications, frac pits, and more. On our social media platforms and at tradeshows, we highlighted our exclusive line of Flo-Trol® automatic flow control valves. These valves are quite impressive. Flomatic’s specific line of flow regulators, the Flo-Trol®, is designed to give constant flow over a wide pressure range with no interruptions.

Small Steps Lead To Big Changes

In February, we focused on the importance of clean potable water for heart health month in our blog post, “The Importance of Water & Heart Health.” We highlighted the importance of small steps leading to big changes by practicing ethical manufacturing patterns and following strong safety standards that are committed to bring clean, potable water to all.

High Performance Leads to High Reliability

In March, we published the technical article, ‘Selection Guide: Buna, EPDM, Or Viton In Valve Products’, in efforts to serve as a resource for a new generation of  upcoming engineers within the manufacturing industry. April was all about the introduction of our Model 408S6 ball check valve, now available in a full 316 stainless steel 8-inch design, and our reliable, consistent, and high-performing Cycle Gard® valves in our technical article ‘Cycle Gard® Valves: Reliable, Consistent, and Excellent Under Pressure.’

Sustainability & Reliability at the Forefront

May was a special month for us as we celebrated national Drinking Water Week and the importance of safe and sustainable drinking water. We also updated our high-performance flanged butterfly valves literature, which is available in a variety of configurations and are hydrostatic & leak tested in accordance with AWWA C504 standard.

June was a great month for us as we announced the launching of our patented Model 48 Drain Back Valve® in a 1-inch size for submersible pump water well installations. The Model 48 Drain Back Valve® is constructed with corrosion resistant stainless steel body and plunger and has NSF 372 low lead approval.

We believe to keep systems functioning at their peak performance or not performing at, every system should undergo valve maintenance routinely. Therefore we published the technical article ‘Preventive Measures For Valve Maintenance’ focusing on highly recommended precautionary measures within the manufacturing industry. We also exhibited at the American Water Works Association (AWWA) ACE 2022 Expo where we highlighted our complete selection of our automatic control valve offerings.

The Importance of American Made Valves & Engineering

In July, we saw much interest in our AWWA 530 standard valves that are built in compliance with the American Iron and Steel Act. We also celebrated and recognized our many American-made products including our Maxiair® vacuum valves. August was a time for us to recognize National Professional Engineers Day and the contributions of our in-house engineers. We featured our AIS compliant 6-inch fusion bonded epoxy coated AWWA C508 standard model 408 ball check valves at the South Atlantic JUBILEE convention and across our social media channels. We also published our first white paper, in partnership with Water Environment Federation, ‘The Effects of Water Hammer‘ and new literature supporting our exclusive line of unleaded bronze check valves.

Infrastructure Developments

September was the month for us to raise awareness about the importance of protecting and maintaining domestic water wells with Protect Your Groundwater Day. We also deep dived into the importance of American made valves with the technical article, ‘What Is The Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act.’ In October, we focused on the recently release Infrastructure Act and featured the article “America’s Water Infrastructure: Imagine a Day Without Water“. In recognition of National Manufacturing Month, we also highlighted our AIS compliant Flo-Flex® epoxy coated Model 745 swing check valves — which are in stock and ready to ship.

A Focus on Groundwater

November was perfect timing for us to feature our model 402 globe style silent check valve series, which meet MSS SP 125 standard and are available in a range of materials. Finally, in December, we ended the year off with a bang at the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) conference in Las Vegas and answered many questions about our Cycle Gard® product line constant pressure pump control valves. We had many informative conversations with attendees at our booth about selecting the right valve for corrosion environments, different water conditions, and beyond.

Overall, 2022 was a successful year for Flomatic Valves, and we look forward to continuing to serve our customers with high quality valve products and expert support throughout 2023. The best is yet to come.
